Meet the Team


  • Paul Hobaica, MD - Medical Director

    Paul Hobaica, MD - Medical Director

    Paul J. Hobaica, MD, is a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a degree in business administration. A Massachusetts native, Dr. Hobaica served on the staff at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center from 1996 through 1999 and is board certified in internal medicine.

    He relocated to Florida in 1999 and joined the emergency department at Naples Community Hospital for one year before going into practice for himself.

    As an interesting complement to his professional background in primary and emergency care, Dr. Hobaica also worked as a firefighter and emergency medical technician for several years. He developed a health care program for the first responders of Collier County where he still serves as fire department physician.

    He joined Arthrex in the spring of 2011, and he was challenged by the opportunity to use both his entrepreneurial business interest and his medical background in internal/occupational medicine. He is very excited about all the challenges and growth occurring in the corporate medical program at Arthrex.


  • Connie Metger

    Connie Metzger - RN, BSN

    Connie Metzger is a registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience in the medical profession. Her career started in the US Air Force where she was an aerospace medical technician providing medical support to test pilots and astronauts. Upon exiting the USAF, she obtained her nursing degree from Florida Southwestern State College and has worked in both critical care and employee health nursing. She joined Arthrex with more than 11 years’ experience in managing an on-site employer-sponsored health clinic located in Lee County.

    She has been married to her husband, Mike, for almost 29 years, and they have two grown daughters who are graduates of UCF and FSU.


  • Ron DuBock - PA-C

    Ron DuBock - PA

    Ron DuBock has a Master of Medical Science (MMS) degree in physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University, from which he graduated with honors. He also has an undergraduate degree in business management from Hodges University. Lastly, he has an Associate of Science degree in emergency medical science from Edison State College.

    Ron joined Arthrex in September 2011 as a physician assistant. In addition to his physician assistant duties, Ron serves on both the local emergency response team and in-house hazmat team. In an effort to help his local community, Ron teaches CPR and first aid during his free time. Prior to working at Arthrex, Ron was a certified firefighter/paramedic in Collier and Lee Counties for more than 12 years.

    He is bilingual in English and Spanish. He has a strong interest in chronic care management, especially in diabetes care.

    Ron lives in Naples with his wife, Brooke, and their two children.


  • Cheri Cable - Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

    Cheri Cable - APRN

    Cheri Cable is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) specializing in primary care. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2011. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

    Cheri has been a local resident for the past 40 years, but she traveled extensively throughout the United States as a contract nurse before returning to Florida to attend graduate school. She practiced in Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, New York, South Carolina, and California. Cheri has worked at Arthrex Medical Center since 2012 and is primarily stationed at the ALC clinic in Fort Myers.

    Prior to Arthrex, Cheri was employed in emergency medicine / urgent care settings at some of the local hospitals. Cheri and her husband, Pablo, have two lovely daughters, and they love to spend their free time together. Her passion is patient education, which drew her to a career in primary care.


  • Miguel Torres - PA

    Miguel Torres - PA-C

    Miguel Torres graduated with honors from the Miami-Dade College physician assistant program and has been a physician assistant with Arthrex Medical Center since 2013.

    Prior to pursuing his career as a physician assistant, Miguel was formally trained and certified as an automatic transmission mechanic. In 1986, during his service as a paratrooper in the US Army 82nd Airborne, Miguel discovered his interest in medicine. Once Miguel returned to civilian life, he worked as a paramedic in Broward County, which eventually led him to become a registered nurse. Miguel’s experience working as a nurse in intensive care, specialty procedures, trauma care, Gamma Knife, and home health environments has proven to be a great resource for Arthrex employees and their families. As a member of the Arthrex Medical Center team, Miguel strives to continuously expand his experience in vascular surgery as well as emergency and trauma care.

    Miguel is married to his high school sweetheart, Maria. They are proud parents of two boys who are graduates of FSU and UCF. He enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities and performing his own automotive mechanics.


  • Alex Stafford - PA

    Alex Stafford - PA-C

    Alex Stafford joined Arthrex in September 2017 as a physician assistant. She previously worked in internal medicine, primary care, and urgent care. Alex was also a physician assistant in the United States Air Force, where she provided primary care to military personnel and their families and worked in presidential support and flight medicine in addition to being deployed to Afghanistan.

    Alex graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Florida’s Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in 2005. She is a proud alumna of Nova Southeastern University’s physician assistant program, from which she graduated with distinguished honors and Bachelor of Science and Master of Medical Science degrees.


  • Lillie Lienhardt

    Lillie Lienhardt - PA-C

    Lillie Lienhardt is a physician assistant who began her medical career in the emergency department in Naples, FL. She has a Masters of Medical Science of physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University. In addition to Arthrex, she continues to work part-time in the emergency room and at urgent care. She also continues to work closely with Florida Gulf Coast University, her undergraduate alma mater, on their new Physician Assistant Program. Lillie believes in a holistic approach to medicine and strives to promote wellness through mindfulness and medicine.

    Prior to starting a career in medicine, Lillie was an intern for the Medical Education Department at Arthrex. Inspired by her fellow PA coworkers and the innovative environment, she took a hiatus to pursue a degree in medicine. She is very thankful and humbled to have the opportunity to return.

    When not working, Lillie can be found relaxing on her boat or by the pool with her husband, Chris. She also enjoys staying active, cooking and baking, and watching movies.


  • MerryLee Foster

    MerryLee Foster - APRN, FNP-BC

    MerryLee Foster is a proud native of Anderson, South Carolina. She worked in a pharmacy while obtaining her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Clemson University. She achieved a second bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s in nursing from Clemson as well. She has been a practicing board-certified family nurse practitioner since 2009.

    She and her husband, Will, have two children and a beloved golden retriever. During her personal time, she enjoys homemaking, gardening, spending quality time with her family, long runs, exploring the southeast, and anything Clemson.


  • Jennifer Rice

    Jennifer Rice - DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

    Jennifer Rice received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in nursing from Clemson University, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama. As a family nurse practitioner, Jennifer has worked in family medicine, pediatrics, and in-home primary care.

    Currently, Jennifer is a professor in the graduate nursing program at Clemson University. One day a week, she travels to Pendelton, SC, to work at Arthrex Medical Center.

    She is the proud mother of identical twin girls. In her spare time, she enjoys working out and reading.
